Consent first
A conversation opens only when you accept. Turn an approach down and the sender is not notified and gets no read receipt.
Mutual reveal
Names are shown only when both sides choose to reveal. When a company approaches you, it must choose to reveal first.
Contact details held back
A message with an email address, phone number or link in it can’t be sent until you both reveal.
Block companies
Name the companies you don’t want to be matched with, such as your employer, and they are left out of your matches. They are not told.

Payments on carmaboard.com are processed by Stripe. In the Android app, membership is sold through Google Play at the price it shows for your country or region. When you cancel, your access continues to the end of the period you have paid for.
Who sees my name?
Your name is shown to a counterpart only when you both choose to reveal. Until then, the board and your cards show your handle.
Do I pay to reply?
Not to an organization that approaches you. A membership is needed to start a person-to-person conversation.
If an organization approaches me about a role, do I pay?
No. A person approached by an organization is not charged.
Can I cancel my membership?
Yes, at any time. Your access continues to the end of the period you have paid for. A membership bought in the Android app is managed and cancelled in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions, not through CARMAboard™. If you plan to delete your account, cancel an active membership first. Memberships renew until cancelled.
Does CARMAboard™ take part in deals?
No. CARMAboard™ is a venue, not a party to your dealings. It is not a broker, dealer, investment adviser, placement agent, employment agency or law firm. It takes no custody of members’ funds or assets, executes no transactions between members and takes no compensation contingent on any transaction. Any agreement between members is theirs to make.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, from the app under Me → Delete account, or at carmaboard.com/delete-account. Your account is hidden from the market at once, then purged and anonymized. Deletion cannot be undone.
Does CARMAboard™ check who members are?
No. Members are not screened, and no identity documents are asked for. Decide for yourself who you talk to and what you share.
